Let's put this into real-world standards.
If the creation of the world happened during the pre-history time, (which obviously it did, people didn't know how to write things down that early...) then how can whoever wrote the first books of the Christian bible know how it happened? It ends up being a chain of fathers telling their sons and so on. Or, even more, it stems from a childhood story some parent taught their child to make them fall asleep faster one night, but the child just never grew out of his fascination with this story, and finally took something and wrote it down, perhaps so he could tell it to his children, and they could tell it to theirs, and so on down the line. Eventually, someone else comes along, and decides he wants to add even more to the original person's story. So he writes another book and keeps passing it down.
This all comes to a head when someone decides to talk about their saviour as they saw fit. Were the Acts written in real time? AKA, sort of like a 10 year-old writes in her journal? Or were the events later recounted by someone claiming to witness how they happened? Or, even more likely, someone told their child, he grew up, and wrote it all down.
Eventually, someone gets tired of how big this book is, and decides to write how it'll all end. Then, voila! You've got a following...A cult following that turns into millions (if not billions) of people...
With enough people, anyone can make an army...This army is just a little different from the normal standards of armies today. They don't kill people, but they do discriminate, judge, and generally pester others around them until they decide that this book is correct.
Do I scare myself with what I just wrote? Yes. I'd love to believe that there is an afterlife. I'm too afraid of dying to not believe in one. This is why religion didn't fade out two years after being formed: Fear. No one wants to believe nothing happens when you die. Even Satanists believe something is there when you die. It's all based on fear, which is never a good foundation to build off of.
On Interpretation of Religious Texts:
Humankind is too frail to interpret any 'bible' (transcribed by other, 'unclean' humans) as the correct 'way to act.'
No living person shall know what is correct and what is not correct until they have died, and personally talked to their gods. Until that day, make no judgement regarding the decisions of others. Follow your own moral beliefs, not those of others. Morality is relative to the person you are speaking to.
Live how you will, take no heed of what others say, do what you feel is morally correct. When you die, you can know for yourself if you were correct, or incorrect.
I urge everyone to follow this ideal.
On Homosexuality:
First off, visit this: [link]
I wrote more in depth about this last October, but, here goes.
In Romans, Jesus encourages us to love your fellow sinners, not harass them to no end. The leading cause of death among homsexual persons is suicide. This, no doubt, stems from all of the abuse they recieve from their peers, from local religious groups, and from the world in general. The world has a sick sense that homosexuality is a mistake. That a person is afflicted with this 'homosexual disease' just as someone else can be brought to their knees by cancer. In this mind, there are many religious groups which seek to force a homosexual into, simply put, hating him or herself. Shock therapy is a favorite among these groups. Not only is this demeaning, but it is very painful. This shock therapy doesn't turn a homosexual person back into a hetersexual one, it turns them into a neuter. They no longer have desire for either sex. It is horrible to not want to love someone, regardless of what sex they are.
Another recent topic about all of this is marraige among homosexual partners. Our wonderous (heavy sarcasm) commander-in-chief, George Bush, believes this is wrong. He, most likely, only finds it to be this way because he is from the deep south, a portion of the bible belt, no less, and has views deeply rooted in his religious views. Another reason: 2004. He wants to be reelected. To go on the side of homosexuals will make the easily swayed (i.e.: folks who crushed Dixie Chicks CD's in March) to suddenly hating you. We've had highly public movements on Women's rights, and civil rights. These general civil rights suddenly don't concern homosexuals. Are they not people? Do they not deserve to live their life how they see fit?
I myself am not a homosexual, so I don't know in the fullest since how a person of that orientation must go through. I can only imagine how horrible it is for them. My own troubles with suicide were bad enough without the added pressure of being 'different' in my sexual preference.
Many people would like to believe that being homosexual is something new, but, obviously, if they read their own bible, it is not. Was homosexuality not present with Soddom and Gammora? Picking and choosing what gets to be used in your bible doesn't make sense, but they (being Zealots) would like you to believe so.
On 9-11 Attacks and Evil:
Many people would like to believe that the attackers from 9-11 were 'evil' humans. Au contrair, to them, we were evil. To these other religious Zealots, the Americans are evil. To many Americans, these people are evil. This neverending cycle is very simple to solve: Evil is a figment of your imagination. It exists not but in your mind. If you can allow yourself to crush this too often misused word into submission, you will be one step closer to enlightenment.
What is evil to you or me may not be evil to your next door neighbor. Everything is opinionated...
On Abortion:
This is a strange subject that I don't necessarily know much about. Sure, I'd love to see every child that is concieved born into the world, but, it just cannot happen. I cannot change the mind of a woman I've never met before who feels, in her mind, that the only thing left for her to do is abort her unborn child.
Is it murder? Perhaps. I can't really judge as to whether or not it is. I don't even want to try.
On Evolution:
We had a debate on this subject in my English class in May. Quite interesting. Proving evolution to be true is very, very easy. It just depends on what sort of Evolution you wish to prove. Macro or Micro-evolution. Micro-evolution happens daily. It's not all that noticeable, but, it's still evolution in the purest sense.
Everything must evolve to survive, however, I think that humankind is coming to a point they will no longer need to evolve. Modern medicines which ward off diseases take out the need to survive certain epidemics. So, there is no real chance to evolve anymore.

What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You've felt it your entire deviant life, that there's something wrong with the story. You don't know what it is, but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad.
You take the blue pill, the story ends. Your browser closes and you believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill, you stay in wonderland. And, I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.
I offer only the truth, nothing more.
